Chasing the More Equitable Side of Philanthropy
The first confirmed case of COVID 19 arrived in the United States on January 15, 2020. Four months later, while we were about to enter a nationwide quarantine, we watched Police Officer Derick Chauvin kneel on George Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds, killing him in broad daylight. The murder of George Floyd sparked a worldwide movement for racial justice and a national reckoning on race.

These twin pandemics shook the foundation world at its core. An outpouring of philanthropic dollars began to flow in and throughout Black communities, empowering Black leaders and amplifying an open condemnation of structural racism.

Is this for real? Are we really trying to get to equity? Or is this just a moment? And how do we move from moment to movement?

Join us via Zoom on Monday, February 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm as we talk to a panel of experts about these questions.
